With water fountains and beauty around every corner, Celestial Park is an amazing way to welcome guests into the Epic Universe World. Let’s get into all the things to do in Celestial Park including rides and dining you want to include in your Epic Universe day.
Celestial Park is the central hub of Universal Epic Universe. It welcomes guests through the Chronos and into the park.
From there guests can choose to visit Super Nintendo World, Isle of Berk, Ministry of Magic, or Dark Universe, but Celestial Park is the first thing guests see after they walk through the portal into the park.
Often we rush through the entrance to the theme park heading to our first ride of the day but Celestial Park at Epic Universe is worth a second look. Universal created an entrance that transports guests to feel like they are in a park. With cascading water and lush landscape, Celestial Park is really beautiful.
There are also a lot of dining options and attractions in Celestial Park that you will want to include in your visit to Epic Universe.
Insider Tip: Purchase tickets before you arrive to get the best deal and save time!

Rides at Celestial Park
There are 2 rides and 1 play area at Celestial Park.
Stardust Racers
Stardust Racers is a dual-launch coaster. It reaches speeds of up to 70 mph and is fairly intense from start to finish. The height requirement is 48″. If you like thrill rides you will enjoy this!
I am getting to the point where thrill rides are not exactly my thing anymore but I will typically try something once. I enjoy them but the intense thrills are taking longer for me to recover from as I get older.
On our preview visit to Epic Universe I went on the yellow coaster. (There is a green and yellow coaster, yellow is more intense) I will admit I screamed from start to finish, there is no down time on this ride, but it was a great coaster. I will ride it again when we visit in the summer and Stardust Racers is going to be a favorite amongst guests.
Constellation Carousel
Guests ride celestial lions, dragons, and bears as they move around in different patterns and configurations. This moves forward and backwards in sync with the music.
Everything in Celestial Park is detailed and beautiful, Constellation Carousel is no exception. You will want to plan a night ride when the land lights up. It will be an amazing way to experience it.
Astronomica
In all honesty I am surprised this is listed as an attraction. I walked right over it and didn’t realize it was there. It is placed on a walkway bridge between the different sides of Celestial Park.
There is no line or area to queue for this. When the fountains are running guests can walk through to cool off on hot days at the park. It will be nice for families traveling with little ones but it is not a large area.
Dining at Celestial Park
There are two table service dining options that will require reservations. They are Atlantic and The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian restaurant. Both restaurants will have highly themed dining areas. Expect higher prices than the casual dining and make reservations through the app before you arrive.
We typically dine at the casual dining options due to cost and not wanting to be locked into a time to eat. Luckily Celestial Park has a lot of options that fit our needs.
There are a few beverage options and Starbucks but the places we are most looking forward to are the quick service options. During our visit in April we had one day and dined at Toad Stool Cafe (Super Nintendo World) and Mead Hall (Isle of Berk)
These Celestial Park quick service spots are on our list for our August trip.
- Pizza Moon: Pizza Moon is receiving rave reviews from the dining ambiance to the food. I can’t wait to share more when we dine there next time.
- Comet Dogs: Hot dog stand near Constellation Carousel
- Frosty Moon: Ice Cream stand
- Meteor Astropub: Located near Stardust Racers, quick-service with indoor dining of burgers, chicken and waffles.
- Star Sui Bao: Asian food cart
- The Oak & Star Tavern: BBQ place with indoor seating
Entertainment at Celestial Park
Epic Universe will have performers throughout Celestial Park and I expect a nightly water show to be announced soon. As of now guests can sit around the fountain to watch the fountain show.
Shopping
I am not the biggest shopper but there are a lot of places to check out and purchase the perfect souvenir. North Star Wintry Wonders is the Christmas shop in the park. Check it out for an ornament or other holiday gifts.
There is also a Nintendo Super Star Store, candy and sweets shops, as well as Epic and Universal themed merchandise stores.
My Final Thoughts
Celestial Park is an area that guests are going to want to savor. Stardust Racers and Constellation Carousel are going to be popular, especially in the evening hours.
Guests will want to spend time walking around the paths surrounded by water and flowers. I would plan time to explore all the details and areas the creative teams developed for this park. Pick up a snack or beverage and sit and watch the fountains.
This area is going to be hot mid-day because there isn’t a lot of shade so I think an after dinner stroll is the perfect time to see it all.
Overall Celestial Park is a wonderful welcome into Epic Universe.
