Nintendo fans can fully immersive themselves in Super Nintendo World at Universal Epic Universe. Let’s dive into all the details of what to expect at Super Nintendo World at the Universal Orlando resort.
As soon as you enter the Super Nintendo World portal you are transported up the pipe and delivered into Princess Peach castle opening up to Super Nintendo World.
This land has kinetic energy and feels alive. There are moving turtles, power question boxes, and Piranha plants. This land will have your senses overloaded and it is an incredibly themed land.
Super Nintendo World is really two lands in one. The first area is Super Mario Land and in the back of the land is Donkey Kong Country.
This was one of our favorite areas of Epic Universe because there was so much to see and do. From the Power Up Bands interactive experience to Toadstool Cafe it is a really fun area to explore. I’ll share more of my commentary at the end of this article but let’s get into what you can find inside Super Nintendo World.
Insider Tip: Purchase tickets before you arrive to get the best deal and save time!

Rides at Super Nintendo World
There are 2 rides in Super Mario Land and 1 ride in Donkey Kong Country.
Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge
Guests wear 3D goggles and ride through a course on this interactive ride. Each ride will have a different outcome making this a unique ride each time.
Sadly during our Annual Passholder preview of Epic Universe Mario Kart was delayed most of the day. We didn’t get to experience it but will get to this summer. Guests must be 42″ to ride.
Mine-Cart Madness
Located in Donkey Kong Country, Mine-Cart Madness is a family friendly coaster that has surprises around every corner. The unique track will have guest “jumping” over the track!
This was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to experiencing it again on our next trip. Guests must be 36″ to ride.
Yoshi’s Adventure
Yoshi’s Adventure is a cute slow moving ride that I actually enjoyed very much. Guests hop aboard Yoshi’s and search for glowing eggs on this indoor/outdoor family attraction.
I wish this ride had more indoor elements because it is mostly outdoors and I worry about it closing due to rain in the summer and being really hot too. Overall it is cute and little ones will enjoy. The height requirement is 32″ for Yoshi’s Adventure.
Dining at Super Nintendo World
There are 4 different spots to grab a bite to eat at Super Nintendo World. 3 are quick snack options and 1 is an indoor sit-down casual dining option.
Toadstool Cafe
I couldn’t wait to dine at Toadstool Cafe, and I will have my review up soon, but it is adorable. Everything is perfectly themed from the decor to the menu. Guests do not need reservations but expect this to be a popular spot during meal times.
The Bubbly Barrel
The Bubbly Barrel is located in Donkey Kong Country and has specialty drinks and a tropical menu. The DK Crush Float will be a popular item. It is a banana flavored drink served in a barrel.
Turbo-Boost Treats
Turbo-Boost Treats will offer popcorn and fountain drinks as well as specialty popcorn buckets.
Yoshi’s Snack Island
This will have fruit based beverage and juice options.
Characters to Meet at Super Nintendo World
Guests wanting to meet characters at Super Nintendo World will not be disappointed. There are meet and greets for Princess Peach, Toad, Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong.
Power-Up Bands
Power-Up Bands can be purchased inside Super Nintendo World and at select Celestial Park shops. Guests can use the Power-Up Bands for interactive activities across Super Nintendo World. This can be linked to the app and you can collect coins, digital stamps, and track your scores.
I am planning a full review of the Power-UP Bands soon but my first impression is that they are so much fun. We had a blast with them and felt they were worth the $44.00/each price.
Shopping
If you are looking for shopping options guests can check out 1-Up Factory, Funky’s Fly ‘n’ Buy, and Mario Motors. There is also a Nintendo Super Star Store in Celestial Park.
My Final Thoughts
Super Nintendo World is going to be one of the most popular areas at Epic Universe. From the attractions to the dining and character interactions guests are not going to want to leave.
As soon as I entered the land I didn’t know where to look. There is so much happening and so much to explore.
Because our visit was during preview days and before official park opening (May 22, 2025) the crowds were manageable. My only worry about this area is that during busy park days it will be impossible to really experience the interactive elements. I am hoping that after a few months when the opening day crowds die down things will be okay.
We have a visit planned in August and I will report back here to see how the crowds impact the flow inside Super Nintendo World.
Overall guests are going to want to plan at least an hour to explore this land not including riding the rides and dining.

I’m so excited and we are still 4 months away from our visit! did you try the meatballs at Toadstool’s? If they have the same menu as Hollywood, it’s going to be my new favorite food at Universal Orlando.
I did and it was spicy!!! I didn’t expect the sauce to be so spicy, even the people in my family that like spice thought it was a lot. The meatball itself was delicious!!!
